At long last, the 5 tactical Terminators from the Black Reach have been finished as well.
I had to modify them slightly, so that the Red Scorpions decal would fit on their left shoulder pads, but for the rest they're as they come out of the box.
Almost forgot the yellow had stripe :/
Comments and critique are always welcome :)
Enjoy!
Welcome to my modeling blog, where I share my progress and works from garage kits to gaming miniatures, and sometimes other stuff.

Land Raider Prometheus
After a long period of packing boxes, moving, unpacking, I ran into a couple major problems:
Which is why it took such a damn long time for me to actually get anything done, and come back to post here. Not that anyone is following me much, it seems.
Anyway, the Prometheus is finally finished. The sponsons with Heavy Bolters are magnetized, so the can be removed for easier transport, and the hatch with the pintle-mounted multimelta can be removed as well. Sadly, despite me going to all the effort of painting the interior, I had to glue the ramp shut. Main reason for this, was that the ramp wouldn't keep closed and, even when it did, it was a bad fit. It looked horrible, and the frustrating opening and closing all the time made it nearly impossible to paint the hinges, which kept scratching the paint layers off.
I'm hoping that the next Raiders will enjoy a much better fate; and hopefully they will require less effort too. As I believe I already mentioned, in a previous post, the cast for the Raider's extra armor is HORRIBLE.
Enjoy the pics :)
- I lacked a proper workspace to model and paint, and
- I lacked proper showcases to put my models in after unpacking.

Forge World's new Rhino/Predator reinforced armour kit
So I'm back again.
It's been a while since my last post, and it's mostly due to my moving to a new apartment. It took me a while to set up everything again, and I'm not completely done yet, but since I have started modeling and painting again, I might as well share my first impressions about new Predator/Rhino reinforced armour kit Forge World released last year.
As it usually happens with FW resin kits, the cast quality looks good, but the parts are twisted and warped out of shape. Especially the door parts, which have thin seams on the side, are currently looking the worst, while the track and turret plating really aren't that bad. At least they are whole (not missing any chunks) and bubble-less, so once they've been deburred and cleaned, the shape is nothing some dipping in a bowl of hot water can't fix.
Overall the resing kit is way better than its Land Raider counterpart, which was much worse to work with due to bad casting and general unmatching sizes.
As I intended to use them on my Razorbacks, I pre-assembled the Razorback model to the point where I could glue the armor on, and used the tank as a press-on reshaping bench, literally pressing the hot resing parts onto the tank until their intended shape was restored. Once that was done, everything matched perfectly.
Below is a picture of how the assembly looks, after priming. As you can see, the Razorback is also equipped with a Rhino dozer blade, also from Forge World.
Looking forward to posting more pictures about this model, and the next one coming up (building two of these actually), so stay tuned.

Red Scorpions update
Here's some pictures of the finished tactical squad, the captain, and the dreadnought (from the Black Reach starter box), and a Rhino with Red Scorpions plating. That's what I have managed to finish so far, in my slow snail painting pace. Although I would have probably been faster, but I like to take care of some degree of detail when I paint.
Not as much as to masterclass everything, but I like my models looking clean, with the hi-lights on the edges, some recess shading, and some weathering. For the models in this picture, I only used weathering for the multimelta on the dreadnought, the flamer on one of the marines, and the lower part of the Rhino, near the tracks, to make it look dusty.
Also started work on a Vindicator!
Well, I started it a while ago, but I got forward a lot this weekend, and it may be ready for the game I have planned on friday. A friend with his new Sisters desperately wants to play against my siege list, so he shall have it. And maybe kick his butt while I'm at it :D
And just to conclude today's afternoon of modeling and painting, I went through the long and painstaking process of cleaning the parts for a Caestus Assault Ram. The models is extremely cool but the parts are very heavy, and fitting them with each other is going to be tricky. Hopefully less tricky than the Scythed Hierodule I completed a few months back.
Stay tuned for more interesting updates.
Enjoy :D
