- I lacked a proper workspace to model and paint, and
- I lacked proper showcases to put my models in after unpacking.
Which is why it took such a damn long time for me to actually get anything done, and come back to post here. Not that anyone is following me much, it seems.
Anyway, the Prometheus is finally finished. The sponsons with Heavy Bolters are magnetized, so the can be removed for easier transport, and the hatch with the pintle-mounted multimelta can be removed as well. Sadly, despite me going to all the effort of painting the interior, I had to glue the ramp shut. Main reason for this, was that the ramp wouldn't keep closed and, even when it did, it was a bad fit. It looked horrible, and the frustrating opening and closing all the time made it nearly impossible to paint the hinges, which kept scratching the paint layers off.
I'm hoping that the next Raiders will enjoy a much better fate; and hopefully they will require less effort too. As I believe I already mentioned, in a previous post, the cast for the Raider's extra armor is HORRIBLE.
Enjoy the pics :)
That is a beautifully done Land Raider. Well done. I was kindda expecting a Helios-pattern LR from the Red Scorpion but this is beautiful nevertheless.
AntwortenLöschenThanks for the compliments!
LöschenI intend to add a Helios pattern to my collection at some point, but it will be for a much later time; plenty of other stuff to finish first, and I'm a slow painter.
I hope you will stay tuned.
