Every now and then I just have to find a slot to fit in some Warmachine models for my Cryx army.
The Combine is a group of Iron Liches who work as attachment and support for the Warcasters.
Admonia, the one on the left can upkeep a spell for free while in the Warcaster's control range while Tremulus, the guy on the right can force a friendly or enemy unit to re-roll dice once. The one in the middle is called Maelovus and is the unit leader; he used to have an ability called Dark Industry, which allowed the Coven to rebuild a Warjack by standing next to, and consuming, a wreck marker, but in his current iterarion he has the Spell Slave ability, so he can cast a spell from the Warcaster's spell list.
So far I haven't had a chance to field them in Mk.III but I'm sure I can put them to good use eventually.

Welcome to my modeling blog, where I share my progress and works from garage kits to gaming miniatures, and sometimes other stuff.

Witch Coven of Garlghast & Egregore
Another Warcaster added to my growing Cryx army. I don't get to play Warmachine as often as I would like to, but I enjoy those games so much more for it.
I wanted to capture the "nightly" vibe they have, both in their design and their background story, and i also wanted to give the Egregore the floating effect from the artwork, but I forgot to mask the flying stand before priming the miniatures in black, so it's not transparent anymore.
All painted in nightly blue colors and black shadow, in stark contrast with their pale skin, with the Egregore painted in metal and glowing green, the three sisters are ready to have darkness fall upon their foes. Can't wait to field them on the table!

Lich Lord Venethrax
Now comes the turn of a Cryx warcaster.
Had this primed model around for a while, gathering dust because I never got to play him in games, but I picked him up the other day to try out a new painting technique.
He was completed surprisingly fast, for my standards: just under 8 hours total, with most of the model's body and cloth roughly completed in a single 4-hour session. The rest was basing and correcting minor details.
Comments and critique are welcome, as always.
Enjoy :D
