Dragonslayer Ornstein & Executioner Smough

Back when the Kickstarter of the Dark Souls boardgame was announced, one of my friends decided to participate and back the hell out of it. I am afraid to actually ask how high his pledge was, and how many backer rewards came with it...

I promised him that I would paint one of the bosses out of all the miniatures, and left him the choice of which one. The decision fell onto the Dancer initially, but Steamforge Games changed the pose of the model later during development, so the miniature ended up looking so weird, the cool factor dropped by like 400%. We had to come up with a different choice of bosses, and the only other boss in the box is the iconic duo of the Dark Souls franchise: Ornstein and Smough.

Mostly a speed paint job using airbrush and a heavy amount of wash mix, I nonetheless believe they will make a memorable appearance each time they will appear on the board.
